Are you starting your own business upon graduation this May, or working with an early-stage startup? Wharton Ventures would like to invite you to participate in the Second Annual Wharton Ventures Pitch Day. While our doors are always open to hearing pitches from savvy entrepreneurs far and wide, this day is reserved primarily for entrepreneurs in the Philadelphia area who are launching businesses or entering a critical stage of their company’s development.
If interested, please submit a 1 – 2 page executive summary. The executive summary should include a brief description of all pertinent aspects of the business, the team, and the capital needs. We will send Pitch Day invitations to businesses that best fit our investment criteria (limited by time slots).
Pitch Day Requirements:
Should your team be selected for Pitch Day, please be prepared to provide an investment pitch during a 30-min session with the Wharton Ventures team. Most companies find a PowerPoint useful for this. You will be notified after Pitch Day about next steps in our evaluation of your business and funding opportunities.
Investment Criteria:
We will consider companies that meet the following criteria:
- Solutions focused on the Information Technology or Healthcare industries (medical device, diagnostic, or services)
- Full-time team in place
- Initial capital needs between $100,000 and $3,000,000
